This strange looking at first glance “zet three” is not the first such car in the history of the BMW coupe. Bavarians, however, have more experience with another variety of sports car, which is a roadster, a vehicle with a removable roof – a pioneering product of the BMW Dixi was produced in the twenties under the terms of Austin. And the first coupe, BMW 507, was founded in 1955.

Model 507 design elements have been also used in both the Z3 and Z3 Coupe – these are additional air intakes, located on the front fender behind the wheel arches. Z3 Coupe is almost identical to the version of the Z3 roadster, and the only differences are permanent roof and by the third door, or trunk lid. It is this extremely long roof and rear doors bent at a slight angle, make the youngest BMW looks more like a wagon than the typical sport coupe. This has provided a unique effect – the Z3 Coupe sets itself apart from competitors and, although it is a sports car, allows you to carry a sizeable luggage.
